Default Tranny removal / installation

when the impound removed my tranny and charged me $500 labor ( what bullshit.. i baught the car like that with no "serial sticker" on the tranny ) , do you think they took my starter also? i dont know how to install / remove trannies but i heard when u installing one you have to remove the starter, but removing one do u think they took my starter? what is the process of installing / removing a tranny? ( like stuff i need to know before doing it and things i should do after installing it)

starter comes off. one of the bolts to it goes through the tranny and into the block.
Axles come out
tranny mount comes out(both of them)
drain the tranny fluid before you take the axles out or you have a mess.
Need an airgun to take the 32 mm axle nut off and to take the castle nut off of the ball joint.
Absolutely dont forget to fill the tranny with fluid after the install. I found that the easiest way to fill it is through the speed sensor hole approx 2.5 qts. honda tranny fluid or 10w30(some people use motor oil but i would use honda fluid).

They probably took the starter since the tranny needs to be installed for the starter to be mounted correctly. They may have just stuck it back in the mounting holes, but I seriously doubt it.
