obd2b main harness in a obd2a car?

obd2b main harness in a obd2a car?
My 98 itr has some ghetto wiring from when it was previously stolen and I found a ob2b main harness since my ecu wires are jacked up. But I was wondering would it pose a problem with running a obd2a dash harness.
so ecu would be obd2b and dash and engine obd2a. I cannot find a obd2a harness andywhere and I got the 2b for cheap.
