my 94 gsr is in the shop getting some body work done(snow ). it was supposed to only take a week but they are going to be pusing 3-4 now. how much gas is safe to leave in the tank. i had a half tank when i took it in. what should i leave in the tank when the car has to sit for that long?or does that only matter if its put away for months?

 

1/2 tank is fine for a while...as long as they start it and let it move then you shouldn't have any problems, only after a month or 2 would u start worrying about additives

 

you'll be fine. I let my LS sit with 3/4 of a tank for about a year and a few months and it started up and ran fine

 

You can always throw in a cap full or two of a Fuel stabalizer addative if you are concerned with the fuel. It should not be a problem

 

A month is no big deal. Heck, I have a car that sits each winter for 4-6 months without being started, no problems whatsoever.

The only thing to be concerned about is to make sure they keep the battery charged.
