What are your opinions of a 98 spec jdm itr ecu?
What do you guys think of this ecu.. I think it has a early vtec switchover point? mayb different fuel maps.. im not sure though.. would this be a good modification to a relatively stock or usdm ITR. All opinions are welcome. Thanks alot.
IMO i woulnd't run it. I'm running the JDM ecu right now, and it feels as if all the maps are the same. The one thing that is nice is it allows me to rev to 9400rpm. But the thing i hate the most is i now have a speed limiter which stops me at 120mph. Just MO though
Thanks for the feedback..! is there a way to disbale the speed limiter? i never knew they would have a speed limiter of 120!
Rev limiter is the same as U.S. spec computers.
Speed limiter can be removed by some piggy back fuel controllers such as the FIELD unit.

Rev Limiter is not the same. I had a 98 Spec JDM ECU and the fun stopped @ 120-130........violently. You could tell the engine wanted to go more but was being held back. I believe most Honda's in Japan have some kind of limiter on them.
thanks for the help guys... doesnt seem like the jdm ecu would be much of a improvement over a usdm ecu..
did your 98 spec ecu provide any gains? Thanks!

Rev limiter is the same at 8500rpm.
