09/01 S2000 swollowed valve!

Default 09/01 S2000 swollowed valve!

02/ S2000 under warr. and not coverd! One valve broke off at stem and was told a over rev happened,I am a high performance diesel truck tech and will say I dont have a lot of exp. in imports but I am no fool and anyone with any exp. can see if a eng. is over reved more then one valve will be stuck!I pulled the PC mem of last 30 sec of life and the highest RPM was 7200 and red line is 9000,I also took a test drive in one from the dealer and asked what the rev limit was and this is what I was told( put it in sec gear and plant it to the floor the rev limiter wont allow it to over rev!)?????????????? please help me with this issuie

Try diff dealerships untill you find one thats covered.

Is this your motor? car?
They can check the mem as well and if you say it wasnt over 7,200 you make them show you when and where it shows that it went over factory redline.

Just to address the potential to over rev: you can mechanically over rev an engine by shifting from 3rd gear at redline to, let's say, second gear.

if he downshifted they will know. Shouldn't have been the case if max rpm was 7,200.

Did you ever hit 2nd instead of 4th in it? 6 speed its been known to happen.
