Default high RPM, low speed b16 tranny

WASSSUPPP
my freind has a JDM B16a in his CRX with the ys1 LSD tranny, it does like 60mph at like 5000RPM, these arent precise numbers, but either way this thing revs tooo high at low speeds. do all the ys1 LSD trans do that?> im planning a b16 or b18 swap with an LSD tranny for a 99 civic HB, will i run into this problem? i dont want to be doing 70mph @ 5500 or some high *** number like that, i could get the USDM tranny(which i know for a fact is highway freindly), but it wont have a factory LSD and i dont want to spend the extra time/money for a aftermarlet LSD system. thanks to all that respond.

Those high RPM dont sound right to me.. you should be able to do 80mph and be around 4.2~4.6k.. that sounds about right for 5th gear.

Put it this way.. a b18b with stock tranny does 80mph at 3450rpm approx while stock.

if you know how to do the math, hp and gear ratio's should tell you wassup.

I don't know, I drove a friends '89 DX HB with B16 and I think S1 trans and it was pulling about 7,000 at about 75 mph. Thats even worse than yours. But my god did that thing accelerate.

I have an S1 trans on m b16 and it pulls around 4200 mph at 65 in 5th gear. Pretty high but it does accelerate very well.
