Fluctuation of idle
supposedly if it revs.....1000- 2500-1000....etc...It is almost always related to the coolant.
Well....I had the 1000-2700+ then down to 1000-2700rpm reving over and over again. So I changed my EACV valve and it was amazing....it idled at like 900 rpm and i was soo happy. THen when I drove it normally after the install it would start fluctuating again when the throttle wasnt applied. However now it goes 1000-1500 so its not that bad. I topped up the coolant level, bled any air in the system, reset the ecu...but still that jumping idle lingers about 80% of the time.
*sometimes when it just warms up to about 1/4 warm on the temp guage and the heat is on half....it stops jumping and idles properly at 950rpm. However after and before this temp it jumps
any ideas on what else it could be?

i tried that...the cable isnt moving when it does this......when under the hood the throttle plate is closed when this is occuring however the diaphram right by the throttle seems to be functioning. I will try to block the vacuum lines going to it and see if that helps...
however even when the throttle plate is closed, there is a port on the tb that air goes through to the EACV and FIV valves. Therefore when I plug it up the engine dies.
Im thinking even though i replaced the EACV valve...i could have gotten another dud...as this one was used.

i have this very same problem and would like to know what else can be done as well. i tried everything. I cleaned the hell out of the IACV with carb cleaner & air in a can. Checked the FITV and just put some thread lock on the white wax thingy. Did a complete coolant system flush. Replaced PCV valve. Reset the ECU. So far everything has only helped. It no longer fluctuates from 1000 rpm to 2500 rpm..now its more like 900 to 1300, but still annoying as expletive. The only thing i havent tried is replacing all the vacuum hoses themselves. Hopefully someone could give us some input.
mine jumped around a little bit... not as bad as yours, but still annoyingly. Replaced all the vacuum hoses (yah i used ghetto red silicone ones, what what). Then it wouldn't even start without giving it some pedal... so i figured things were screwed up... and figured there was a vacuum leak before i changed the lines, and apparently i had fixed it. Cleaned out everything with intake cleaner, and got better. Finally had to turn out the idle screw (what a pain to get at, and what a stripping stright slot.... but anyway). Now it runs like a champ. Idles at about 1700 when very cold, idles right at 650 or so when warmed up (500 without any loads like a/c, lights, etc).
Long story short, maybe replace the vacuum hoses and see what happens. Well worth the $10 (or $22 for 'racing' 'ricing' silicone), plus another $10 or so for the goofy larger vacuum hoses.

UPDATE:
Idle Flctuation has been fixed.
All i did was replace all the vaccum lines including the PVC and FPR to IM. Also the coolant lines that run to the IACV. Adjusted the idle via the throttle body screw, and now she purrs like a kitten. A very happy kitten.
