George actually isn't as old as he looks. The grey receding hair and the occasional incontinence may fool you, but "Grandpa" is kind of a misnomer, given that he's actually younger than this poster's parents, for example.

I think Ken is older by at least a few years.

Grandpa doesn't instruct. He said something like, "putting my life in the hands of some completely inexperienced stranger is about the last thing I ever want to do." I paraphrased that a bit, but it gets the message across

I'm not. I just instructed at a Chin event there two weeks ago. Fun track! But it was designed by someone who wasn't very good at math, based on the way the turns are numbered...
