Default Some tranny questions for a b20 motor?

Well, I am planning on building up a CRVtec motor soon. What isn't quite clear to me is what type of tranny to use with the B20b/z block. Since I have a 91 CRX, can I use a cable tranny, say from an older LS or something (I know the gears are taller, but I plan on turboing the motor anyway)? Or, do I have to convert to a hydraulic tranny? Please help me someone. Thanks.

the older integra tranny is the one you want ls for turbo im am in the same prosess as you i all redy got my moter a b20b4 out of a 97 crv and it had 28k on it and when you get the moter make sure that they dont cut any harnesses to it the harness goes straight through the fire wall and to the computer this in my opinion will make the install easer, and run it obd2 or this is what i am doing. Or you could just use the 90-91 integra distributer and intake and run it obd0. As i am finding out make sure to do your hame work on this swap and go with what sounds good to you. if you go the obd2 rought make sure to get a pig tail ad long as you can of the dash harness that breakes off the ecm wiring to the crv dash, also make sure to get the secondary o2 sensor as you will probly want this or i have seen a way to bypass it but it looks fuzzy to me and might cause problems??. another thing to get is the service conections that aaaare in the crv. take a trip to the honda dealer ship and they might let you look at the service manual and may even make you copies of some of the stuff in it, in my experince dont ask for more than a few pages at once.one more thing if you are definitly going turbo i would go for the b20b4 it has lower conpression and if you might go turbo than i would say go for the b20z it has a higher conpression=more horsepower eish i would have known this before i bought my moter but a moter with 28k on it and i know it had that much because i was at the yard when it was unloded and scouped it up then and there just do what you want and what you feal are best for you

Thanks a lot bro. Yes, I do plan on going turbo in the future and I was planning on getting the b20b anyway. In the future I plan on runninf off a fully programmable zdyne gold ecu. What I am unclear on is what b16 head to use.

If I use a jdm b16a1, what will I do about the 2nd o2 sensor in the exhaust manifold (in the b20 block)?

If I use a B16a2 or B16a3, can I mate it to the block the same way? And since there is no 2nd o2 sensor, I won't have to modify the block at all. But with this setup can I use the Zdyne ecu? Or, do I have to switch over to obd2? The problem is that the zdyne gold ecu can only be modified from a non-obd ecu.

Well, thanks for your help. Hopefully, someone can help me with this.
