WHY DOES MY CAR REV BY ITSELF?

K MY CAR REVS MY ITSELF WHEN ITS IN PARK OR NEUTRAL..AND THE LIGHTS FLASH A LIL AND TODAY..I WAS LISTENIN 2 MUSIC AND IT DIED..THE BATTERY IS NEW..SO THAT AINT IT..ANY IDEAS??

kinda..itll be at 3000rpm and jus rev by itself..unless i push on the gas..then it goes to 1000 and it jus shakes hella hard..

3000 is way too high for idle is your gas pedal/throttle cable sticking anywhere?
