The front can take a standard 6.5 inch, but not today's typical oversized 6.5 inch speakers. The same goes for the rear. But unlike the front, it is simply a matter of enlarging the hole to fit an oversized 6.5 inch speaker. So basically, you can fit either a standard 6.5 inch OR an oversized 6.5 inch in the rear.
