Default BRAKE LIGHTS WONT WORK PLEASE HELP

oh man this is driving me nuts, got pulled over for no brake lights, checked everything new bulbs new brake light switch, couldnt find a fuse for brake lights but everything else works taillights, backup lights, corners etc. no clue where to go from here but one thing is i had to take my hatch off a couple days ago and i cut the 3 wires that go between the hatch and the car green/white and 2 black ones ive tried to attach them back in every way possible and this didnt fix the brake light situation im not sure if those circuits are even related. basically dont know where to go from here at all if there's some secret fuse somewhere for the brake lights or something appreciate any help

when i say brake lights im talking about the 2 main ones not the 3rd one although
that one doesnt work either now :///

Ck the little switch on the brake pedal at the top. I don't think this is the problem but you never know. Also make sure you are getting a current to the fuse.

found the elusive fuse under the hood, problem fixed, topic closed its the horn fuse by the way the brake lights are on the same circuit as the horn.
