Default SRR tie bar + ITR sway=??? Sway gurus look here

Ok so i searched and there is only the info in this thread:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=685651

However I have a bunch of questions....

1. Does the ITR 22mm sway bolt up?
2. Do you need a reinforcement kit? (i have access to beaks?...i tihnk thats what its called)
3. Does the tie bar act as sufficient reinforcement?
4. is there any other sway bar that is comparable that can be run safely(aka no tears/bends)

Car is a 92 civic hatch cx, omni coilovers, srr tie bar....and im ready to drive the hell out of it, but i want a sway thats safe.....

Also any other info that could be helpful would be great.

Thanks
Eric

The ITR sway will bolt up but I am not sure if the CX LCAs have the holes to do it is is something that you will have to check on. I would reccomend a reinforcement kit becuase I have heard of the ITR sway ripping the subframe even with a beaks kit. The best one I know of is the ASR subframe brace but that would be up to you. As for other sway bars really you would have to go smaller for there to be less of a chance of ripping. You may try asking in the autox/rr forum those guys know thier crap when it comes to sway bars and experience with them.

1. yes it bolts up, but you'll need compatible lca's (ie: gsr) BTW, you can get a jdm one that is 23mm
2.yes, you will definately need reinforcements, ie: bsq or beaks
3. nope, tie bar doesn't do ****
4. sure, with reinforcements. the comptech package is pretty nifty!

For street and novice track users, you're not going to want a bigger bar than the US ITR one, so stick with that. Beyond that, all your questions have been answered.

Even if they fit, there wouldn't be any point to having it after getting whatever subframe brace. The brace would be accomplishing the same thing as the tie-bar. Might as well sell it and recoup some money.

i have them srr rear tie bar and the jdm 23mm sway bar on a 99 si. the only real problem i have had is with the sway bar bushing tearing. the srr does move the sway bar bushing out a little further then stock making them harder to get on. i am really happy with the srr tie bar and would get that over the beaks kit anyday. the 23mm bar has made the car much more neutral handling.
