The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP Sensor) is located in the distributor housing assembly and really isn't considered a "servicable" part because there isn't a replacement part for it other than a Distributor Housing Sub-Assembly. The CKP isn't sold separately. Unless you're real good with electronics and how it works and can repair it yourself. The CKP determines the timing for the fuel injectors and ignition and also monitors engine speed.

I've had to do this on another car before. It's not servicable like the coil and ignitor.</TD></TR></TABLE>
They jam the TDC/CKP/CYP into that sub-assembly. LoL No clue why neither.

Have you ever tried looking at it to see perhaps if it is something that could be easily fixed.
I know we have had alot of problems with our Main Fuel Relays. Basically over years the contacts on it wears out and it can easily be fixed by removing the relay, disassembling it and resoldering the contacts on the back.
