Could be clutch - like your springs are warn out - when's the last time you repalced your clutch?

I've never seen an h22 with a transmission So I might be wrong.
On the other hand - i've seen a million with transaxles.

I think I am getting the same noise. Except mine happens in every gear when going slow and accelerate moderatly. I also have a sound at start up, which is a rattleing noise and I believe that is coming from the distributor.

if you figure it out please let me know, with christmas here and all I got no money to try and troubleshoot.

i got the similar problem at start up its a loud noise but when is press the clutch pedal it goes away then come back when i release the pedal, as for the rattleing noise its very loud on 1st to 2nd and form 2nd to 3rd but it goes away on 4th and 5th.
i was thinking it was something inside the transmission but after reading this tread now i'm thinking about the clutch but my clutch is 6 month old.

i went to my mechanic and he told me it was the throw out bearing being worn out, those things tend to wear out quick.
