If it's loud outside, it's gonna be loud inside unless you Dynamat the **** outta the car. That type of exhaust is totally unnecessary for the street in my opinion...all that annoyance to others and you might gain, what, 2 more whp over a "normal" exhaust?
Somewhat off topic, but I'd say the Mugen Twinloop is the ideal street muffler. It's quiet when driving normally and has a great sound when you get into VTEC.

This exhaust is one of the best there is for racing purposes. This exhaust is not meant to sound good, and un-offending. It is meant to put out high flow rates for track-use cars.

piping is 2.36" all the way...exhaust is like a slip on and connects with springs.
its loud as hell when ur outside and behind the car....when ur inside it's not as bad as being on the outside
there are a couple of threads with sound clips of this. i do have some videos of it on a B16 and B18 hybrid hatchs
http://www.evasivemotorsports.com carries them.
as far as legal dB, i highly doubt this will keep eyes off u

Haha...I think you either have an extremely stange definition of 'really quiet,' or your friend uses the silencer...in which case your definition is just a pretty strange.
I've had a Tanabe Racing Medallion (on the car when I bought it) and a Mugen Twinloop and honestly, my cd player went from staying at volume level 20 to 13 on the highway, and that's maintaining the same perceived volume. And my current exhaust is still a bit louder than an Apexi WorldSport, for example. Basically, canister exhausts suck if the car is your daily driver, in my opinion anwyay. B16 trannys keep the motor at freakin 4k on the highway, and B18s are only a little better, so it's not like it's putting out a relaxed tone.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I can't see why anyone would put up with that kinda noise unless they've got some serious motor work done and are looking for every whp they can get. You're not gaining anything unless you've got FI or ITBs or some crazy NA buildup.

OK, to the OP if you're going to track your car and don't care what it sounds like on the street, go for it.
