Default Which is better: Kaaz or oem LSD?

ive been looking for a jdm ys1 w/lsd and cant find it. I came across a non-lsd ys1 for 750 and he said he will throw in a kaaz lsd for 600 more. So what are the pros and cons of having a kaaz over oem?

all I have to say is 750 is way to much for that tranny. You might as well of bought a type r tranny and spent 2 hundred more and had a good LSD. thats my opinion

i second that its to much , and imo i would rather have oem for that amount of money,
i dont know for sure if oem is better than aftermarket lsd but like i said thats my opinion and i agree that 750 is a little high

(wooot 500 posts lol)

oem would probably do the trick for the most part in my opinion. type r trannies run from 900-1300 used depending on cond. and seller. if you were considering track then maybe learning about the different kind of lsd's would be useful.

yea but if i go itr ill need the hasport kit and a couple of other parts which total around 300ish. I agree the 750 is kinda high but its from a local ebay store here in socal. Id rather buy from them with some kind of warranty than from some random person not knowing what condition the tranny is in.

why is it that lately I've been hearing about ridiculous pricing on the YS1 tranny's? Because it's getting rare? Hasport has the answer.

I was happy enough to spend $450 on mine from Steve at Hmotors.

I've heard nothing but good stuff about it so far, but I'd like to hear more peoples experience with the OMP diffs. Great price, I hear they're indestructable, and work great on road courses.

actually i called a couple of weeks ago and im not sure who i was speaking to, but he said they only sell hydro trannies seperately, not cable. I think they used to sell the cables, but since its getting more rare they dont anymore.

I have a quaife with a gsr trans in my car, and it works great. Problem free for 5 months now, and quaife comes with a warranty.

Why too much. Just try to find a YS1 w/lsd or get a CTR w/lsd tranny.
Way cheaper that 1350

You think American Honda sells parts without a warranty? There is a 1 year warranty on all parts, electrical parts may not be returned once opened, individual dealer policy applies to returns on special order parts. Some are more lenient than others.

Oh, but that doesn't compare to Quaife's lifetime warranty. Brand new quaife = brand new OEM in cost, but quaife warranty>>>>OEM warranty.

Oh, I'm not saying the OEM warranty is better than the lifetime warranty by quaife. Quaife is good, and so is a lifetime warranty. Just pointing out you don't buy a part from honda and get left out in the cold.

Also, just having a lifetime warranty on a diff doesn't do any good if the company won't honor the warrany, especially if the diff is a broken piece of **** from the factory. I think everyone knows of what company I speak.
