Default Fuel Filter

I searched this and have read that an AEM fuel filter is actually larger than the stock one and will not fit the bracket. Is this true?

I have one onmy 4th gen in the stock bracket....it fits fine, you just have to modify the fuel lines.

If you have a 4th gen, the filter has both of the connections on top of the filter, while the AEM filter has them on top and bottom. So you have to cut the fuel hard line and move the fitting to the bottom of the filter (I used a rubber fuel line and hose clamps).

I think it will work fine on a 5th gen...but correct me if I am wrong.

Dear god don't cut fuel lines so you can run a fuel filter. For the tiny cost of a fuel filter you can't really be considering cutting and destroying lines.

Guess what? Hose clamps and rubber fuel line has worked 100% fine for almost 1 1/2 years now. I'm not saying it's worth the trouble for a stupid filter, but it does work.

I don't doubt at all it has worked for the last 1.5 years for you. I guess I'm just against hack jobs to save a few bucks.

I agree also except for the saving $$$ part...a replacement filter is way cheaper than a bling AEM filter so it's not saving a few bucks.

The only reason I got the damn AEM filter in the 1st place was that a website had listed incorrectly for 92-01 Preludes....so once I had spent the cash I had to find a way to make it work. Live and learn......
