ground in steering column?

ground in steering column?
im looking for a good grounding place near the cluster/steering column on my 93 Sol. I got my cluster out and my steering column covers off. do you guys suggest splicing into a wire? or creating a brand new ground point in a piece of metal or using an exsisting ground point and just bolt this ground to it. thanks
