I need to make sure I have the right resistor box for my 89 dx zc motor swap. I have the resistor box with the grey connector. From some of the looking around I've done it looks like I need the resistor box with the green connector.
What's the difference between the two and if I was trying to use the obd-1 resistor box would this of fried my injectors?
Any help is welcome because I running out of things to check on why the car isn't starting and I need it back before college starts on jan 3.

ok then whats the difference between the two resistor box's? they look the same except for one has a green connection(plug clip) with the wires and the other has a grey one

Pics would help. There are lots of green and gray plugs in a Honda engine bay.

Accords and Preludes do.
Accords and Preludes do.
it all depends on what kind of injectors you are going to use. there are saturated and there are peak and hold injectors. i believe the saturated injectors run on the full 12v system and the peak and hold injectors use the resistor box. the obd1 prelude and accord use peak and hold injectors, so they need the resistor box. i could be backwards on which one uses the resistors, but that's why the obd0 civics and the obd1 accords and preludes use the resistor box.

I got the resistor box out of a 92 accord so that may be the reason. I'm gonna pick one from a civic si just to test things out. thanx again on the info
Accord and preludes while OBD1, do have the same resistance as OBD0 resistor box, about 6ohm. You can use even a turbo DSM box if you so felt inclined. I prefer the look of the grey plug when making wiring harnesses. Use whatever you have and you should be ok.
