Default Bypass Valve on Injen CAI?

Did a search...came up with no answer to my question.

My homies buying an Injen CAI for his RSX, and wants to put the AEM bypass valve on it...he's been told that you cant, but I wanna hear from the professionals. Isn't the Injen CAI 2-piece? its gotta work...wont it?

its not a two piece from wat I know. With a bypass you have to cut off some of the pipe to use it. I'm not sure if it will work on our cars though!! Someone else chime in!

You can use an AEM bypass valve, they sell them seperately. Just make sure the pipe diameter and bypass diameter are the same.
Yes you do have to cut a section out, there is a lip on the inside of the bypass where the cut pipe seats on either side.
The bypass allows air to enter the pipe higher up than where water would get in the filter, so the section of pipe has to be removed to allow the air in.
Hopefully that makes sense.

It needs to be as close to the intake manifold as possible. A section that is about 5-6 inches without bends would be best I think. I'm not sure of the routing of the intake on the RSX.

best power instake is injen cai...... but btween AEM cai and AEM V2 i would say the cai because out filter is pretty low and it gets alot of cold air which would give u pretty good gains in mid range and top end and the V2 is very good in accerating and not as good in top end
