That doesn't mean ****. Now I'm the one who had NO alarm and NO garage on my previous R for over a year and a half. So back up with that capt. ****.
Now how much sense does it make to tell anyone what your security measures? Let's see..... Well I can't even think of an analogy that even comes close to that. Why do you think the imobilizer removal doesn't get posted?
on him and

NO alarm and NO garage on ur old R? Refresh my memory, did it get stolen?
If a theif sees this thread and goes through the time of tracing the creators IP address and finding his address, and then making a 6inch wire to reconnect the fuel pump wires then ****, he should have it.
I am no where near as paranoid as most of you guys are, but then again I live in southern illinois. Guys here rather steal a 88 Buick skylark.
I just think its stupid when somebody comes to give advice, and you freak out on them. They are tryign to help, give them a break

All they'd have to do is rip some misc. wire from anywhere in the car and it takes a second to strip wire with teeth
.
If they have the time, to go find a missing piece of wire... they will most likely take the minute to add wire. Run a switch and don't make the switch or how you integrated it into the fuel line system obvious... if they never find it.... they can't "fix" it.
Layers... its the only way...

still doesnt stop a roll back...or a tow truck with one of those "picker" things...whatever they are called (****** truck i think)
but a decent plan nonetheless.

Yep sure did get stolen, BUT not from me, from the next owner dipshit. Never did I have any incidents when the car was in my possesion. I agree with splitime, all it would take would to take one of the tail light wires, strip with teeth and your done.
As for freaking out.... Yeah ok. I was giving dude some constructive advise not to post your security measures on a public web forum. Do you think anyone here in their right mind would post all their kill switches, auto lock, wheel turned, battery cable disconnected, location of spare battery and siren? No, I didn't think so. That would just be beyond stupid.

Sounds like a great idea, however if the theives found the missing wire, who's to say they dont just wire it up themselves? Good idea nonetheless and
for beefing up the security.

Its not paranoid if they dissapear as soon as you are out of sight.
Being cautious and paranoid are two different things.
The original poster should not give away his secrets IMO.
EDIT: there are three "my R was stolen" threads on this page alone

Sounds like good layers of security, but that would be a pain to have to deal with all of the time,

Until they troubleshoot and realize what's wrong. WTF is wrong with people, I went to HS with a few local car thieves. Most of them them basically ended up reforming there lives and now work @ dealerships servicing cars and do very well for themselves. The rest are in jail. However, while they were stealing caRs they would joke about different security layers that people had on their caRs.
Pulling a fuse, disconnecting a harness, an AutoLock, a Club, a "Prestige/Viper" alarm with a pager yada yada yada means absolutely nothing. These thieves steal Honda's and Acuras to boost the parts that they have on their own caRs. They drive Honda's and Acura's. They work on Honda's and Acura's. They know where these fuses are. They know what harness under the hood immobilizes the caR when disconnected. They know where the goddamn fuel pump is and they know where most of you "secured" people keep your kill switches.
Smarten up, don't leave it out. Don't be flashy, keep a low profile. Those are the keys to prolonged ITR ownership.
When I first bought my ITR I was out banging gears every night. Everyone knew my caR. The only CW around. Everyone knew me. Knew the roundabouts of my home. And you all read about me getting followed nearly nightly. Almost getting carjacked after being followed. My block being stalked by thieves looking for my caR and stealing my friends caR's instead when mine would vanish into thin air. It was only when I chilled out that ITR ownership was fun.
A track day here, an AutoX there, a local ITR meet with friends from H-T. All the BS stopped when my caR went low key. I would still speed and bwadadada V-tec around town. Just not in areas where thieves would hang out or on nights when caR people were out chilling and racing.
Something to consider. What do I know, just owned one for 2,5 yrs, parked it outside and had no incidents..... In NY!
