Alignment has nothing to do with shaking or vibration.
Get your tires balanced.

"Get your tires balanced" is not the correct answer. That's a place to start. It could be a number of things. If you can't figure out what it is, take it to an experienced person who can. You'll end up getting raped by a Honda dealer, since they will most likely start with a tire balance, if that is not the problem they will move on to the next thing until they figure out what's wrong. They will also charge you for all the unnessessary time it took them to figure it out. If you get lucky and get a good tech it won't be so bad. Good luck.

PS. This should prolly be at the top but....Can you give more info on how and when it started. Just out of the blue or what???

Maybe you would like to list the "number of things" for us?

If he knew, he wouldn't have mentioned a dealership.

I would start with unbalanced tires, then make sure lugs are tight, then look for bubbles in the tires (hit any bad potholes lately), then bad cv joint in axle.
Feel free to add anything I missed.

Alignment absolutely will not cause a shake. Wheel bearings roar and grind but will not cause the "it only shakes when I go above 70 phenomena" . Inner CV joint? What bushings??

The best and cheapest place to start is to have at least your front WHEELS balanced. And when they are balancing them they will also be able to tell if they're bent.

listen to the guy. what happens when u dont have a alignment u will have premature tire wear which will cause yur car to shake so it might cause problems think about it.

You need your tires balanced and check the rotation of the tire. If the rotation is wrong that will also cause it to do that.

I just want to add one thing that is not directed at the original poster.

If you are driving in winter conditions and are experiancing this; a very common thing to happen is ice or snow will build up on the inside of the rim in one small spot (usually after parking or having an e-brake contest) it will throw the balance off. So if you have this problem don't go right away to a wheel and tire shop just try chipping the ice off with a flat head.

Cheers!

this guy is right. my car did this on three separate occasions and neither time was it a balancing issue. the first time it was the axles, the second time it was the mid-shaft, the third time it was toe.
