F1 racing 8.5lb I couldn't compare differances between the stock flywheel and the lightened flywheel since there was 5 months in between driving the car when I upgraded. It seems like it revs up and alot quicker then stock b16s. The revs drop rather quick, I will probably switch to a Fidanza 12lb flywheel next time i'm in there.

I would agree with CRXB16T if this is going to be a sole street car get a 12lbs or even look for and ITR flywheel. 8lbs is really lite on the street and it revs up fast the revs drop fast too.

As long as you stay within reason and keep it balanced you will be fine.

<-- Rockin a stock lightened flywheel on his third motor.

I have the 8lb XTD one. Found it on Ebay and it was cheap. 8 months and now problems with it. I would never use a stock weight one again.

Does anyone have any hard facts not just heresay about the claim "It takes 40hp to spin a stock flywheel." Is that just a myth, or is there any real dyno tests to back that up?

I think its a preferance thing some might like how fast it moves. I would agree more room for "error" alot of people would like this on a dail.y

I ran an 8.8lb snd I felt it was much nicer then 12lbers i've driven on.

Clutchmasters 8.8lb did great for me
