I'm planning on replacing my brake rotors with some Brembo blanks, and am wanting to know which brand of brake pads would work best. I've heard some give off a good deal of brake dust, which is something i do not want. Some have also said that OEM are best. I would like all of your 2 cents. Thanks.

what is the purpose of this upgrade?

if you are going for long life, less brake dust and about the same level of stopping power, go for axxis/pbd DX


if you looking for alot more stopping power, shorter pad life and alot more dust, go for axxis ultimate.

i am using axxis ultimate and man, my gold wheel turned to bronze after couple days of normal driving. I can't complain on the fade resistance and inital bite tho'

DX is about 40buck for a pair(actually 4 pad, which is enough for two wheel) ultimate is around 60.

hawk, ebc and colbert are also excellent choice from what i heard but i am a firm axxis user


*sidenote, might as well flush the braking system and add dot4 syn. fluid while you at it

 

The purpose is that the rotors are warped and the pads are simply wearing out. I'm wanting some long life, but like you said, i don't want to have to wash my wheels every other day.

then go for Axxis dx,

they are quiet(well, the ulitmate is just as quiet as oem too), less brake dust than oem and slightly cheaper than oem
