insurance prices.. after wrecks
i was just wondering.. roughly how much your insurance will go up if you use them to repair your car after getting hit. fender and front bumper replacement, and painting, and labor.
i'm not an insurance expert, but in my experiences, it all depends on the cost of the repair as well as your history (record) with your insurance company. i had my car fixed once and my insurance didn't even increase. the agent said b/c i'm considered to be one of their "good drivers" (long time customer, w/ no accidents), they weren't going to raise it.

It still goes up...

That's not necessarily true. I know people who are involved in accidents and it was there fault and there was no change in premiums.

Usually a lot. Perhaps 30% depending on how bad it is. I believe Allstate has a new policy of not increasing premiums as the result of an accident.
It TOTALLY depends on the insurance company first of all.
State farm for example, will not raise your rate. But after a certain number of accidents/moving violations they will drop you.
Almost all of them won't raise your rate for a not at fault accident.
But a "no fault" accident is different.
Like when both people are at fault, or if theres no collision, like when you get run off the road. That can go either way, I know from personal experience.
Also if the other party has the same carrier as you it can influence how they handle it. Good luck!

That's what Allstate does, not sure on statefarm.
