It's winter and you live in Ontario. When the temperature drops below freezing, water (in your case condensation) turns to ice.

you could have moisture building up in the the car and when its cold it will make it frosty.

wow, just wow

You see every time you exhale you breathe out water vapour. Now warm air (like the warm air you have when you drive you car with full heat on) can hold more water. Also when driving all your windows are warm due to this heat When you park your car you turn off the heat and the air will begin to cool, so will all the windows. When air cools it cannot hold as much water, the water is forced to condence. The windows become cool very quickly because there is no insulation, water condenses on cool surfaces. Thus you have condensation or frost/ice on your windows.

in short:

Do you have your heat control set to recirculate. If so the moist air generated by your breath and the ice on your clothing that melts and evoprates is trapped inside the car. Keeping the heat control set to fresh. It will help to reduce the amount moist ait trappped in the passenger compartment by ventelating it better.

Not entirely true. Correct, if you have a leak water droplets will form on the inside of your windshield. That's easy to figure out. But, condensation plays a major role when you get into the single digits (Farenheit).

This is what's happening in my car. I get water droplets in my front and rear window.

So will running the AC. AC is especially useful if your windows are really foggy.

I can't someone actually asked this as a serious question. It's like "It hurts if I hit a sign with my hand while I'm doing 40mph. What is the problem?"
