Is the '86 CRX Si worth the trouble of rebuilding.
Got a sweet deal on the car. Has issues with the sunroof but does run. Starting to run hot, but the hose going to the thermostat is cold, so I'm thinking that it's got to be that. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
id vote yes fix it up, but if you have to ask if its worth fixing then you probably arent really into the car so maybe for you it isnt worth fixing.
Thanks for the quick reply... Just didn't know if '86 would be a good year. I know that other cars, ie Buick Grand National that '84 is not a year that you want to mess with. Other than that, any other suggestions will be appreciated.
I love the 1st Gen CRX's
any car that looks good to you and you like is worth rebuilding
theres a good amount of aftermarket parts for the cars, just there a lil harder to find then stuff for the 88+ hondas, that body style was 84-87, Si's were fuel injected the rest were Carberated, if the motor is toast you should look into the 84-87 Integra DOHC D16A1's for a swap, its a direct bolt in, and is a good 20hp jump over stock Si, the EW4(D15A3) is right around 91hp, and the D16A1 is like 110-120ish
