hey guys

i will be doing an audio install on a late 90's accord.

i roughly looked at the engine bay, and i cannot seem to find any visible grommets to run the power wire through?

in addition to the grommets, how do i get the interior trim off to run the rca's / power cable down the car? do i just pull on it?

you might have to puncture a hole where the engine wire goes through the firewall. there should be a plastic groment there carefull not to open any wires.

 

is that towards the lower left? or right side?

 

tap power from the main fuse box in the engine bay. there are several empty slots in there that you can use

Wrong. Do not tap power from the fuse box. You need to run a power line straight from the battery to the amp with a fuse within 18in of the battery. There are grommets both on the driver and passenger side. I recomend going on the passenger side, since the battery is on that side. Go under the dash and feel around for a grommet. Straighten out a coat hanger and push it through. attach your power wire to that, and then pull it back through. Then pull up the pieces of plastic in the door sils, and run the wire under the carpet. Best of luck.
