Default Home built turbo question

I remember a while back in Honda Tuning there was a guy who turboed his Dseries from junkyard and other parts. Now in the new Sport Compact Car there is an EJ with roughly the same setup. I was gonna do it to my HF back when I first read the article in Honda Tuning. I got an extra manifold and had a friend make the adapter plate. My questions are ,
1) Have any of you done this?
2)Found the site(thanks to everybody on here)
3) IF I do this , should I get a cylinder brace?
4) or should I stick with saving for a B series?(this should cost no more then $500)

I searched on here with no results. I would Google it but I would rather talk to people who have the experience.

Well how much do you have to spend, and what do you already have?

you can build a kit for roughly 5 bills, obviously the fuel management might not be the best (FMU), but most people who do build kits run mild boost so it's not really a problem. not to mention the power output is good, the guy you were talking about in honda tuning i believe made like 170 to the wheels. also i just saw at the bottom of the original post, you can get a b16 for 5 bills? let me know where lol

</TD></TR></TABLE>I will be piecing it together as I go. This is not gonna happen till the warm weather comes. I am also planning on doing the headgasket and timing belt because I just flipped to 100k miles. While the head is off I should probably add a blockguard. And maybe a thicker headgasket. As far as already procured parts , I have the adapter plate(still needs to be fitted to turbo) , and the HF manifold. I have had this stuff lying around a while. I plan on using a 1st gen DSM turbo. I don't want to go over $600. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
