I would figure these are highway miles. At that mileage how long will it go before needing a new motor or full rebuild? New motor is $3,500. How much is it to rebuild one of these motors and where can I get the prices on the parts? If it isn't TOO bad I may ****** this car up since the inside and outside you can eat off of it.

 

I'd get a junkyard motor before I bought a new one. These motors are going to be plentiful as nothing goes wrong with them and they aren't in high demand.

I beleive these 2 threads are about the same thing?

I gave some advice in that other one. Take a look, have someone check out the car before you buy it if you want. Like I said in the other thread if the motor is in good condition it might have plenty of life left in it.

 

Give us some more details on the car, manual tranny?

 

I'd worry more about the transmission, especially if its a slushbox. The transmission seems to be the very weak link in the car.
