Default 92-95 manual to auto climate control swap (and a general hello)

First the general hello:

Hello!

Ok, I'm new to this particular site, but it looks great from what I've seen and it seems like a valuable resource overall. That being said, I've searched and double searched the site before making this post so as to avoid redundancy, so if I happened to miss the one post that already has this information, I apologize ahead of time.

The question is as follows:

I have a 1992 USDM Civic LX. I accquired a variety of Auto Climate Control parts a while back and have finally gotten around to getting them installed. Rather, I have gotten around to removing the dash to see how possible getting them installed would be. The auto climate control parts I have are:

- Control panel
- Auto A/C Amplifier (looks like it mounts onto the bottom of either the heater core
or blower motor, not sure which)
- Several wire harnesses, with two temperature sensors on the ends of them
- One is the cabin sensor which looks like it mounts right next to the stereo
- The second is a sensor which looks remarkably like a mini-flash drive, which I
assume is the dash temperature sensor, but I'm not certain about that one.
- Some tubing which I presume runs from one of the A/C boxes (again, not sure
which one) up to the cabin temperature sensor.

One of my other cars is a 92 Celica, and it appears as though the auto a/c setups are very similar, as far as the basic concept is concerned. There's a heater core with a resistor, an Auto A/C Amplifier, a couple of temperature sensors, and a control panel.

Here's the issue:

At a cursory glance, it appears the harness ALMOST works, except that I think a couple of the connectors on the blower motor and heater core are different. Now, this leads me to one of three solutions:

1) try to change the harness so it fits the existing A/C boxes
2) see if it's possible to obtain a USDM Auto A/C blower motor and heater core.
3) try to obtain a JDM heater core and blower motor.

Option #1 doesn't sound very promising because there's probably a reason the harnesses are designed to go into the boxes that they're designed to go into, so I don't want to try and force something and fry any electronics in the process.

Option #2 doesn't sound very feasible because I don't think the auto climate control was offered in the US during those years.

Option #3 ALMOST sounds feasible, except once I've obtained the parts, I have a feeling that the mounting points are going to be backwards (right to left) from the USDM parts.

So. First question is:

As far as I can tell, the only parts I still lack are the Blower Motor box and the Heater Core, is this correct?

Second question (actually it's a few questions in one):

If that's the case, does anyone know of any place that I can obtain said a/c parts? Do Honda dealers in the US have access to those parts, and if so, are there part numbers I need to give them? I've never dealt with honda dealers to date, so I don't know if they can do this or not.

In any case, any information would be greatly appreciated, and thanks for taking the time to read through this mess!

There is a sensor that mounts on the radiatior support also as well as one in the top center of the dash.

Ah, thanks for the link there. After reading and browsing the images, I see what you're talking about for the sensors. Apparently the flash-drive-looking sensor is the heater core temperature sensor, and the cabin temperature sensor is fairly obvious. I guess the funny tubes I have are to go from the heater core to the cabin temperature sensor, but I see no "hoover" piece, just a tube. It's kind of a guessing game without the original parts or images to look at.

The positive side is that it looks like I won't need to actually get a JDM blower motor or heater core as it looks like they can be adapted to the automatic a/c with some minor modification. So I'll still need the temperature sensors, and some creativity with the wiring. So I think I may just keep the stock one in for now until the weather's nicer and I've got some more time to play with and I've got all the parts I'll need.

In the meanwhile, does anyone know if the parts (e.g. the other sensors) that I need can be found on any other honda models of similar years? Preferably of the USDM variety (since those can be had much more easily, and as a last resort at the dealer, if necessary)?

Thanks again for the help.
