JDM 4th Gen Climate control
well I finally got all the parts needed to install this.
lets see if I go insane trying to install it.
*edit* using this site to help --> http://www.jrcormier.com/prelu...l.php
*EDIT* - on that site there is one wire that jrcormier doesnt show you how to connect, so ill show you on here. The #1 blu/yel wire on the JDM 20 pin connects to the blu/yel wire for the a/c pressure switch. remember the thermostat plug? well its the blu/yel wire on that plug. just connect it to the #1 blu/yel wore on the JDM 20 pin.
Day1
2 Hours in.... LUNCH BREAK !
well couple more hours gone by and i installed some sensors, took out blower unit, drain radiator (big mess ), took out evaporator, and now im having troubles taking out the 2 hoses that connects to the heater unit .... those got damn things wont come out.
any one know a easy way to take out those 2 hoses? im having trouble pulling it out.
Day2
well after running into the hoses problem i just cut them, but now i got another problem. I need a relay.
heater hoses stll wont come out!
the end of day 2 ... i got the hoses off, i just had to introduce them to Mr. Razor Blade
Well now that the heater hoses out the way i finally got some stuff done.
SHES ALIVE !
Heres a small video from my digi cam of the mix motor. ( if it dont work then right click save as )
Day 3
Made this for the air mix motor
with everything back on
***EDIT*** - (place where i mounted the air mix motor) the air mix motor will move when its in place. You should try to screw a second screw in somewhere. and you will have to cut a little bit of the center console if you put that in the same location i did.
Wired everything
TA DOW !!
now i just need to put the heater hoses back on then the dash and im DONE !!!
took 3 days but its worth it. Would of been 2 days, but the heater hoses gave me a hard time.
Hey you 5th Gen guys look ---> JDM climate control for BB6!!
Day 4
DONE !!!
WOOO HOOO !

Well if anyone wants the main control unit I have it with cut wires but I'll let it go for dirt cheap don't need it in a race car, all you gotta do is pay for some shipping.

Re: (vtecludeh22)
i thought i was going to do it in one day, but guess not. everything went smooth till i got to the heater unit. Those 2 hoses that carry coolant through the firewall to the heater unit wont come off . Im going do that later since i cant put out the hoses. Im going to wire everything up then try that again.

Re: (skrewdlude)
HOLY JABEEEBUS !! Its a miracle !
And here are the bitches that took forever !
EDIT !!
if your a/c & heater works fine then dont go with the JDM climate control.
My climate control was messed up and one of my heater hoses was busted so i decided to upgrade to the JDM climate control. If you still want to do it, then go for it. I think its worth it.
I did it because i love my lude.

Re: (Siegfried)
All I want to say is: digi climate control rulezz. I drove today a JDM Prelude with it and it's marvellous. But driving RHD car in a LHD country sucks a lot

Oh and could you put pics of where you install your sensors.</TD></TR></TABLE>
the bracket came with it. I installed the outside temp near the vent things on the ludes, sun light near the windshield on passenger side, in car temp between the steering wheel and the climate control, and the evaporator sensor in the evaporator where the thermostat uses to be.
hope that helps.
SUN LIGHT SENSOR
OUTSIDE SENSOR
EVAPORATOR SENSOR
IN-CAR SENSOR
its so cold, i dont know if i want to finish up my car.

no i mean if it works fine now (stock one). Because its a lot of work.
I thoguht it went pretty smooth untill i got to the heater hoses. I hate those things, they took me 2 days just to get them off. Now i have to buy 3 hoses for the heater. well one of them was busted i have to replace it anyways, the other 2 was getting kind of old so minus well i guess.

Did you use the Blower Motor High Relay or another relay ?
</TD></TR></TABLE>
the guy i bought it from didnt give me a relay. So i went to auto zone and got one because and the junk yards were closed. I just picked up a relay for some fog lights. Works fine. If you want go to a junk yard, hondas have relays all over the place. for lights, power window, sun roof, abs, etc. theres like 4 in the fuse box under the hood.
just make sure its a 4 pin relay.
