Default bolt pattern 4x100

is there a difference between the 4x100 and the 4x114. Is there anyway to make a 4x100 fit on a car with 4x114. I have a 96 lx, which is 4x114, but i never see that bolt pattern, so is there anyway to get 4x100 on there?

well, if you take 114.3 and minus 100 the difference is 14.3 mm more.

4x100 and 4x114.3 is NOT compatible.

the only way to fit a 4x100 to a 4x114.3hub is to use a adapter, which might run into problems with: offset, rubbing, stress point, durability

4x114.3 are found in altima, ae86, most of the accord, prelude, mr2 and various brand as well

Many 4-lug wheels for import/domestic applications are drilled with 8 holes. A set of 4 for 4x100, and every other lug would be 4x114. Look for this when wheel shopping......

Then you need to search a little harder. There are many rims that come in the 4x114.3 bolt pattern. Maybe not the exact one you want, which would suck, but there are many rims out there that fit Accords.

Which rota's exactly? I'm almost positive rota makes most of their rims in that bolt pattern. I remember when I had my black 95 Accord EX I was looking at getting Bronze Circuit 10's or Bronze Circuit 8's.

edit:
Just took a quick look at Rota's website and they seem to carry quite a few rims in 4x114.3 bolt pattern Don't know if you've looked there or not but I figured I would post it up incase.

4x100 is the size assigned for the Honda Civic, the 4x114 is Accord. Unless you want to have the lug holes machined into a slot and duplicate the mounting system used by earlier Crager Wheels; you're out of luck.

Even if you were to have the holes slotted or new holes redrilled, don't the OEM holes have some sort of steel insert for the lug nut to seat against? That would be a lot of work to get the duplicated.

Also, the bore sizes are most likely different. The 4x100 probably has a smaller bore in the center of the rim than a rim with a 4x114.3 unless the aftermarket rims come with a standard size bore on all then you just use hubcentric rings to match your car.

the only thing that suck for 4x114.3 lug pattern is that you can't really find name brand rim like volk, buddy club, etc. rims in 18" which i think best fit the accord body style. Most of the time you get knock-off of rim that come in the universal 4-lug with both 4x100 and 4x114.3. most of the time i see that it stop at 17" and 18" are all for 5x114.3. I was thinking of swapping out my 4x114.3 for a v6 accord 5 lug or the prelude 5 lug just to get a wider rim selection.

for volks? you can custom order them with the offset, pattern and finish you want, but the only thing is you have to wait for your shippment from them

and to the creator, there's not as much 114.3 rota, on their website they always stated they have a 114.3x4 pattern but none of dealer that actually sell the wheel got it.(except slip or small number of high volume seller)

wider than stock wheel placement throws off suspension geometry and you'll have to replace some parts quicker due to extra stress.

i think that would cost way too much money. compare to buying a set that already made.

yes, probably. But if there is a set of Volks he really wants and can't find it in the 4x114.3 size, then it's an option. If he really wants the rims, then he'll pay the price.

They look somewhat like Rota Circuit 8's

They don't seem to look exactly like that picture you quoted but if you look at the site that the original picture came from, SubyDude.com, the Circuit 8's look just like it. Don't know why the picture look a little different, maybe just the angle the picture was taken.

http://www.jlbmotorsports.com/

^has 16" C8's in like 8 different finishes that have the Accord bolt pattern for 460 shipped, which is quite a deal, believe me. They are honda tech sponsors and I bought a set of Rotas from them and was very happy
