Default Lowering the R

First off. I would like to say hello to everyone on Honda-Tech.
I recently purchased a 00 PY Type R, and Im loving every moment of it (except about hearing/ reading about how often they get stolen), now its time to lower my baby. Does anyone have suggestions? My purpose for the car is mostly street and show. Probably some track, but I am still debating about that. Please dont bash me about turning my R into a show car, and I know that I can buy another Integra and convert that into show, but the car is already in my possetion. I am getting mixxed messages about what suspention to run from every shop that I go to. Mostly, they recommend running Teins. What do you guys think.

If your going to spend the money, buck up and do it right the first time and get a quality set of coilovers. If you do your homework and spend your money wisely, it will be well worth it.

why are you decided on lowering the R? It handles quite well at stock height...

Comptech springs should work well for your needs.

And I have seen them here recently for a cheap price too and they were new

damn, reid called neo out and then he came back with the show points ......nice burns.

stock is fine but if you have to lower it get some Aerospeeds for the show <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by neo_ &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

If he wants to win points at car shows, he might as well go with a coilovers instead of a shock/spring combo. I could of just easly said spoon/mugen/omnipower/buddyclub/etc.. coilovers. But he'll win more points with tein's EDFC </TD></TR></TABLE>

No, he'll win more money if he can show that he spent more money on the coilovers.

I would suggest getting Motons. Remote reservoirs will get you far more show points than EDFC.

I appreciate all the suggestions. Im learning more and more about my car everyday and I love it. I love the stock suspension, but I want the brownie points at the show. Plus, Im not going all out crazy for the show scene and I am keeping my stock set up, thats why I want a coilover set up, easier to remove and replace.

Moton Quad Adjustable. I promise you will have a unique car at any show you go to.

We've got them on sale until the end of the year. $9,999 for the 4 dampers.

There is lots of info to be had in the suspension section. I run the Tein HR coilovers 8k/f and 6k/r. They are too bouncy. I've been looking into a new set-up for almost a year now. There are a **** load of factors to consider.

To uncomplicate things for you, just get a set of H&R springs. Nice drop. Not very expensive.

&lt;------likes giving his $0.02

All I can say is:
First, how much can you affort or how much are you willing to spend on the suspension upgrade.
Second, look at the choices that are available at the price range that you have agreed to spend on the upgrade.
Third, do some research on your picks.
Fourth, purchase the one that has the most performance and bling factor that you're looking for.

Good luck with your choice of upgrade and welcome to Honda-Tech.com
