1200$ Purchase a running D16Z6 for maybe 200$, a good condition SI transmission for 75$, P28 for $100, Jumper harness for OBD-1 $110~, and use the rest left over for maintance

IF U DO THE SOHC VTEC, ULL NEED A P28 ECU,DISTRIBUTER,O2 SENSOR,AND THE CONVERSION HARNESS WITH THE DISTRIBUTER JUMPERS.ALSO TO CONVERT TO MPFI- NOT SURE THO, I THINK U ALLREADY HAVE MPFI. CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG. NOT TOO HARD TO SWAP, EVEN EASIER IF U HAVE NO A/C

Orig. mounts work on the SOHC and DOHC ZC only, anything else will need aftermarket mounts

your easiest swap will be the 88-91 SI motor/tranny. no obd conversions, no wiring vtec. just a simple bolt in, swap ecu and go. if you are not worried about axle strength you can even re-use your HF axles with the a6 tranny.

Swap in a d16a6 motor, tranny, and ecu..Get si/dx axles and hubs..Do a homemade turbo setup with a small turbo (14b,t25,t3.42/.48,etc) and chip the ecu with turbo edit and possibly make 200whp..And since you have an hf ,you already have yourself a turbo manifold..All you need is an adapter plate..
