Locked out of gear
D16Y7 trans
D16Z6 mainshaft, 2nd gear on countershaft
SRR countershaft, ring gear
ZC 3rd gearset
Assembled shafts according to the Helms manual for my car. Interlock guide bolt is properly aligned.
I can move the shifter side to side, but can only put it in 3rd and 4th. Trans is split open and not in car. Using screwdriver to shift.

I had a prolem when I over torqued the interlock bolt and dented the shifting mechanism. Part of the proplem could be that its split and the shafts arent aligned just right giving you some greef.
Try rotating the input shaft a bit to see if that helps line the syncros up a little more for you.
