i have the kaaz 1.5 and its great for the track (road courses).
if you do a daily driver thing, and not much track time....than the kaaz (or any other similar racing type lsd) will be kinda unwieldy.....for example: heavier steering effort is required in slow corners under power (pita, like slow tight turns in a parking lot, etc....) cause the diff is locking and trying to staighten you out at the same time you're trying to turn it......fighting the car in turns may be an annoying change from the stock itr driving characteristics..... but when the speed goes up, and the driving gets spirited...hang on cause your car is gonna dig on the corners...literally!

ive heard that the quaife (a different design from kaaz) doesn't suffer from the typical heavy steering effort of a hd lsd....and is thought to be more street friendly. never used one, so i cant say how it feels.......

is there something inherent in your lsd that isn't up to par?

Depending upon what your plans/goals are for the car, your money might be put to better use elsewhere.

I have nothing to compare it to other than stock but the ATS rocks the fuggin world. It just sucks you into and through corners.

A better LSD will not help your traction problems too much, might as well weld the diff or get a drag spool if you want to keep both wheels spinning at all times.

FWIW you will rarely see speeds higher than 60mph on an auto-x course, and with 446whp you are just going to spin, especially if you have the wheel pointed in any direction other than straight. Good luck.

How do you put 466 WHP down? Talk about grossly unbalanced.

Here's a question before you delve deeper into more aggressive Diffs.

What axles are you running? Because it's either upgrade now or snap a bunch till you get it right, and a more aggressive diff isn't gonna help matters. With that power when you actually hook up you're gonna start to shatter axles and other related whatnot.

If you want a serious Diff then the ATS is a certain answer and will handle your power but will require rebuilds as will other clutch type diffs. The Stock diff is for the most part robust but I do not know it's life expectancy with that much power.

Food for thought.

Stock is Helical type. KAAZ and ATS are Clutch packs. Quaiffe is Helical also.

Helical (gear-driven) only engages when one wheel starts to lose traction. Plus is- easy to drive, and no clutch discs to wear out and replace. Minus is- Not quite as "limited", cuz if one wheel COMPLETELY loses traction (in air or on ice), power goes through that wheel, like an open diff.

solution. Get a KAAZ 1-way if you like easy driving. It will be more aggressive on the track than your stock unit, if only slightly.
And afterwards, sell my your (abused) stock diff for cheap.
