d15b2???
so Im told the d15b2 has the same head as the d16a6 is that true in all aspects. also y use the y8 cam gear. also if I did decide to go with a mpfi swap would I just need to add the injectors, wiring and ecu from a d16a6 or would I need the harness I was just wondering if that ecu plugged right in. Sorry for being long winded I only get five posts a day and its hard to ask questions that way. any help?

You don't need to use a Y8 cam gear on either head. If you want to do a MPFI conversion, you will need a MPFI intake manifold, the injectors, and a PM6 ecu. You can then add the necessary wiring to complete the conversion. Do not attempt to try and use the Si wiring harness, it will only give you more headaches.

by y8 you are referring to the cam gear to use when you do the full si swap (a6 cam)......I was told the a6 cam gear and d15b2 ones are the same and will work but the y8/y7 one is more accurate for timing.
Can anyone please clarify because im also changing to an a6 cam soon.
THanks

-Yes..You use your stock harness and convert it to multi point injection.

the head casting is the same.Valves and clearance on them are different. The cams are different, the gears, and the dizzy's. Also the Si harness would be a needed. Iv've heard that you can re-pin the ecu on a DX DPFI and I have a print out of how to-but guys around here say other wise.best bet is to get some specs and do yyur homework
the rod journals have two different sizes that you will only know for shure once you tear it down to get a number off the crank, but if you give me a year, make, and , model, i can look it up at work and get you some specs....
