Default Accord 98 Car maintainence.

Okie, soo far i've done.

Changed Battery
OIL CHANGE
Checked Tires
checked fluids..

My car has been sitting infront of my house for 1 year... it hasn't been driven for the longest! everything started getting rusty and even found evidence of rats in my car engine area.. Is there anything else i need to do for my car to keep it well maintained?? maybe a tune-up??? change valves and spark plugs? rotate rotors? suggestions. Earlier last week i did have a catayltic converter deterioration but its gone now.. which is wierd. but anyways and suggestions would help alot!! thanks all.

there are a lot of threads about storing cars. Are you going to start driving it now? I would change the ATF as well.I assume its an auto. If you are going to keep storing it I would buy a car cover. A guy I work with had a rat do quite a bit of damage to his car eatin through belts and hoses.

Yea you need to replace all of that... Have your car towed to Mechanicsville Honda and ask for Ross...
Just kidding. How many miles are on it?
Regardless you need to change your:
Transmission fluid
Brake fluid
Depending on mileage for the rest.
Sparkplugs are good till 105K miles on your car so those are ok.
brakes should be ok.

i would definately drain the fuel in the tank and put some fresh gasoline in there.......... you don't replace valves . do u mean adjust valves >?, and you cannot rotate rotors.. since u mentioned sign of rats i would chk all the wiring near where they were at , they LOVE to chew up wires.. ...
as mentioned,, replace tranny fluid regardless at or 5 sp
have the brake system flushed

Sorry DH, I just have to say, I miss your" nice *** "haha. You might think an *** is an ***, but it's not true at all. If you suck the old brake fluid out (of the master cyl), put new in, and bleed the heck out of them. Is that as good as professional flush?

That is a professional flush. Only difference is we use a air power brake fluid vaccum instead of pumping the brakes.

I have a "mighty vac" hand vaccume pump. You can really give your wrists a workout with this sucker.

If he has a V6 then yes, it's 105K; starting in '00 is when the 4 cylinders went to 105K.

Seriously though, with a distinctive avatar like that or the Green Bay logo, it's easy to tell which posts are yours.
