Default D16Z6 Turbo Kit

I am wondering what a good option for a turbo kit for the d16z6 motor would be. I am currently looking at the greddy kit, but adding a intercooler kit right away to the setup for a BOV and all that stuff. Also, if anyone has some kits for sale for a GOOD deal, let me know.

so the greddy kit is a pretty good kit to get? I just wanted to be sure, becasue it sells for so little....i guess that's just becasue they sell so many of them.

it's a "kit" cast manifold etc. if you have the money you can have someone build you a kit that would work good also but. like in my sig that's a greddy kit turbo and manifold.
we did a 13.4 with that small turbo it all depends on what you plan to do with it.

i think if it's a reasonable price then then it will work well,, but if your wanting big #'s then you might have a kit that starts you off with a small T3 so have more power options

but that's my 2cents

whats your goal? always gotta ask yourself that? big turbo or small turbo? crazy top end or midrange torque? i personally dont buy premade kits, its funner piecing up your own imo. greddy kit is good, a/c and p/s compatible. im selling 2 brand new fmic's if your interested, one for $130 the other for $150.

There is no way your going to get 300whp with a turbo that small on a D16z6 at only 13psi, just not going to happen (turbo doesn't push that much air). It would be more like 225whp or so at that much boost.

i have a the greddy kit, but now its off until i get a real motor in (semi-built d).

your times of 13.4 seem right, but 305? that does seem high I am with beerbong 225 ~ 250 those are my number I am shooting for at least

I second that...I think the kit is a good one for what it is, but in no way gonna make that kind of power....

Just to add to which turbo set up to go with, is there any other engine parts, such as internals, to buy along with it.

I'm looking for about 7 or 8 lbs. or boost for now. Im not really going for HP specifics. I want to get the motor built later on. I want to stay with the d16z6. But for now i just want 7 or 8 lbs. So for the money it's a good kit for 7 lbs? Also, Ill put internals in and want to run about 15 lbs later on in life. Is there a turbo that will support that manifold flange that willl run 15 lbs well, of course on down the road?

I see what your saying and all, but that kinda power and torque is definately on par for like 15 psi the way I see it...So many people have used the exact same setup with good tunes and nowhere near that much hp at that level..
