Default h22 no rev past 6200rpm, why?

i have an h22 in an 92 accord...check engine light code: knock sensor...and i changed it twice...and i still get check eng light, even after reseting the ecu...what cause the motor not to rev past 6200rpm???? I'm about to junk this ****....get me a bike

Which ecu are you using?

Did you do the swap and wiring yourself? Or a previous owner? A shop?

When did the problem start? Any other symptoms?

It somewhat sounds like you're running the wrong ecu.

check oil pressure immediately, and also throw another ecu on there and see what happens.

wiring was done by hasport...the ecu is the one that came with the engine, h22a Vtec the problem started 11mths ago....

i think its prolly wrong ecu cuz stock 92 tops at 6200 like that and the h22 should be goin to 7200 or close i think

they should be revvin 2 round 8k. try gettin a chipped p28. the check engine light might still come on but it be all good tho

I have to agree, It sounds like you're up against a rev limiter.
Procure different ECM
Chip your ECM
Install a different EMU

etc etc etc

a p28 will eliminate the knock sensor code, as it does not have one...
