p28 some guy says it wont work
all right i have a 95 lude with a jdm h22 atx. I was wanting to convert to a p28 ecu and get it chipped so i could get one of them tuning programs hd,chr, uber. This guy that sells ecus on ebay says that it will not work with my car. Is he right? and if he is what choices do i have?
yeah i have a p13, and he is like u can chip it. I have read that everybody says its a waste of time chipping the p13. This guy also chips the ecus and sells them.
oh yeah could i just buy the p28 auto cause they made them for ex and delsol sis 92-95, and send it to jdmshit.com and get it chipped with the h22 program and just tell them its for an atx?
I'm not sure but I've been told you can't chip the P13 b/c it's too small or maybe thats just the Jdm one, I don't know all I know is I don't see them chipped very often.
The P28 will work it just has to be a OBD1, the only thing is it won't control your secondary butterflies, not a big deal, alot of people disengage them anyhow.
Your best choice would be the P72(Integra GSR) Ecu, will controll the Secondaries and also needs to be OBD1. A little more expensive though.
BTW:All ECU's have to be for the same type of tranny you have

oh yeah the thing is i didnt think that the gsr came with an autx. The only b series that i think came with one is the jdm b16 and i bet that is a really rare ecu that will cost me out the a......?

iab can easily be added to obdI civic and non-vtec 'teg ecus. we did the original write up on pgmfi a long time ago. it is so cheap and easy that i do it on every ecu i chip. and on civic ecus the polarity can be reversed for use in the vehicles that require a 12V sig to activate the iab sol rather than a gnd...

you can control IAB's with an rpm activated switch if you want, or just leave the unhooked. When not hooked up, they are always open, which will hurt your low end power a little, but it won't affect top end at all.
