I am considering getting some aftermarket valve springs/retainers for my H22a. Any specific recommendations? Crower, Webcam, JG, Portflow? Should i get both valve springs/retainers from one specific brand or is there a good combination to use?

Since you have TYPE S cams, they have inner valve springs at http://www.jdmhondaparts.com

All depend how high the revs you want to go, I have Rev valve springs on my TYPE S cams

 

Would i just need to change the inner valve springs and not all the valve springs? I am running Type S valve springs and retainers as well. I would assume that this would not be enough to safely rev to about 9k, right?
