as title, get one or spend it on somthing eles? anyone got any gain from upgrading t/b??

i was wonderin the same.. i have an AEBS intake manifold... and thinkin about upgrading to 68mm TB

dunno about this mod. i can imagine it making a difference in an N/A setup, since the intake manifold needs all the help it can get sucking air. but the turbo forces air into the system, and once it pressurizes the intake mani, it'll maintain the same psi, whether the tb is bigger or smaller...

Well not TB only BUT recently when we dynoed my car we made 711whp with 35psi, I had 2.5" IC piping and a 65mm TB, we changed the TB out to a 70mm and changed to 3" ic piping made 714whp with 32psi only now. Piping size and TB can become a restriction is what I learned , sorry I dont have any before and after with just the TB change

Seems the gain will be very minimal on a mildly boosted setup

well it wont do very much unless you have a pnp head and a ported or aftermarket intake manifold. if you already have it go for it but if you are going to buy it just save your money. just my opinion.

i do have a gsr ported n polish, upgraded valve train and valves, with skunk2 manifold. would that help.

did you open up the intake to 70mm also?

Actually it already was because we initially had the manifold matched to the 70mm tb, I just didnt use one right off the bat
