OT: seriously thats irrelevant. Im willing to bet at least 90% of the OG ITR owners broke in their motors the old fashioned way, the way the manufactuer reccomends; and a great majority of those motors now have around 60K mi+ with lots of track use and still run as strong as ever.

Good jorb, nice ride. If I was getting an Evo that's the color I'd have; looks mature and upscale for an Evo.
I hope the R is in good hands. Did you sell it privately or trade it?

Are Evo's even reliable cars or do they break really easily over time? I know a lot of it has to do with the driver but I just don't see an EVO getting 200K miles on it. Nice car BTW.

nice pick up. it seems like the new evo is the replacement of choice for previous R owners.

wow. Thanks for all the nice comments guys!
i sold the R for 15k private party
i got the MR for a pretty sick deal
The interior on these new EVO IX's is very nice
i wasnt a fan of the 8's
but the new ones have gorgeous and really comfortable seats, carbon trim on the dash, and it really grows on you
i personally love the entire car, interior, exterior
as for the break-in period, i have chose this method:
-owners manual with a twist
im doing the 600 mile break in, keeping it under 5k RPMS and going pretty easy on the clutch and tranny
BUT! i am showing the car some boost while under that 5k, hehe
i havent seen full 20.16 PSI yet, but i have had the car at about 14-16 PSI several times...and it feels amazing!
no need to downshift on the highway
the turbo starts spooling up at like 2500 rpms and reaches max torque at 3600
the EVO IX MR is a BEAST!
and the handling...
most all the ITR parts are sold, yes the volks are gone
but i do have 440CC injectors, cheap, like new, for sale
and i have a like new GReddy Emanage
thanks again for all the nice words
ill let you know how full boost feels in about 450 miles
