Default Steering slop. Tie-Rod related?

Alright guys a few weeks ago I did my swap.

Any who after the swap was done I realized my steering wheel had alot of play in it.

Im thinking the tie rods might infact be loose, and im not sure how to properly adjust them.

you can adjust the steering rack at the gearbox, under the steering column.

http://media.honda.co.uk/car/o...4.pdf

but you cant adjust the tie rods for "looseness". if theres any play in em, you have to replace it.

if you have a manual steering rack, you can also check the rack end bushing. replacing that part, which is under $10 but a pain to do, can tighten the steering back to normal if everything else is ok.

Well heres the thing, when I popped them off to make it easier to remove the axle I didnt notice it but I think it turned upside down or another by the threads on the tie rod end.

Well when I put them back on I had to turn them to line back up.

that wouldnt do anything. theres an inner balljoint thats free to rotate.

Alright I see, I just miss the sharp steering response.

Do you know of where I can get the tool they used in the pdf you linked?

I was referring to the gauge that measures the play in the wheel.

Could I go without the gauge and just see if it helps with the travel?

Ill check it out tomorrow.

you dont need the guage. its likely youre going to over tighten it anyway the first time and end up doing it a couple times until you like the feel of it.
