Default exhaust tone help

this is a dum question but its something i need to know. the motor is an h23 and i have dc 421 headers on it. but for the muffler all it is is a universal rice can thats welded on to the shitty factory restricted piping. the sound it gives off now is soo high pitched and loud and it amplifies os much. and i was wondering how the sound would change if i did a full 2.25 pipe and then attatched the muffler?

getting bigger pipes will only not do much, and it will probably even get worse. honestly, if you want to change the sound you will have to go with a different muffler. for the price of new pipes, which should be about $100, just get something like an ES muffler, which is on sale at inlinefour.com right now for $110.

that es muffler looks really funny looking. Iam looking for a deep throaty sound. not a high pitched ricer sound that i have now. it sounds like angry bees in a tin can.
