need advice on fuel pump swap in progress
I have my tank out
the fuel pump has a rigid hose(the one on the top closest to front of car)
this line is welded to mount on side lip of tank with a clip that has a stud through the lip ad ears bent over the lip. I have the nut off the stud but the lips keep me from lifting the line free of tank so I can remove pump.
the ears do not look like they are meant to be bent
how do I get this line free?

Seem like another line # 19 and 25.. disconnect the hose part and you'll be free..
</TD></TR></TABLE>
To clarify(sorry for not mentioning) this is a 91CRX DX
The line held by bolt 25 is the one in question
I have the factory man too, helms print and pdf
the bracket that holds my line does not look like the one in the drawing
it has an ear on each side of bolt that wraps around the edge of tank lip(btw nut is on bottom and bolt is press fit into bracket from top)
it is looking like I will bend them, but I want to hear from some one wno has done this

I done it like 6 months ago with I put a inline pump on.
Can't remember sorry.
And it's cold and dark outside.
But it seem like unbolt 25 and it should come loose.
And in the other hand when I put a inline hose on the assembly. I don't remember that line hanging on the cover...
let me search for a better picture.

it looks nothing like the pic
I made a quick drawing

the lips keep the bolt from lifting out of the hole
and the bolt keep you from moving it to the side

There are two lines going to the top of the fuel pump. The one with the banjo fitting,, and the other one which is a hardline. If I am understanding you correctly you are having problems with the hardline?
If so then all you should have to do is undo a small bolt (10mm I think) from underneath the fuel tank lip. That bolt goes through a lip on the tank which has a hole. The bolt screws into a flat tab on the end of hte hardline which has a nut on it.

as I have already said
I have the book you keep posting pix from
My bolt goes in from the top
Look at the drawing I made of my bracket
it does not have square sides
and no the line will not pop off the bracket, it is welded

I have a 91 CRX DX too and my hardline, the tab on the hardline and bolt look exactly like they do in the picture. Either you are describing another part or the last owner of your car modified the hardline bracket. Sorry, but your picture looks like a Volkswagen Beetle to me. I dont know if I'm looking at it from the top the side or the back.

the oem pump has small teeth on either side if the power studs to hold a cover that snaps over the wire connector.
I used adab of silicone to hold the cover over it.
will the silicone cure if I reassemble?
or should I let it cure overnight before reassemply?
