every morning i go to turn on my car it doesn't go on. i have to compression start it (push the car and pop clutch). i notice when the outside temperature is 38-40 degrees out it turns on perfectly without a push. i notice when its 20 degrees it doesnt turn on.
after compression starting it in the 15-20deg weather it runs and idles fine. when i drive it for 5-10 minutes and park and turn car off. wait a few minutes and try to turn it on again it turns on again with key, no compression start needed.
also when i mean the car doesnt turn on i mean its not cranking over. i tested my alternator and battery found out the battery is bad in 1 cell. well since i got the battery less than a year ago they switched it out for a new one at Autozone.
now sure if its the starter, main relay. ecu or the new battery. anyone else have this problems when its really cold out?
my friends crx si does it too. last winter i didnt have this problem. we both work on cars and dont know whats up it could be something very small and simple that we are overlooking.

You can add ignition switch to that list.
Most likely it is the ECU. The reason they go bad is because solder joints on the board start to go bad... after years of extreme temperature changes. It is common for ecu problems to be intermittant (sp?) It can be very difficult to detect which solder joint(s) have started to go, so just re-solder all of them.
